Although Liu Bei lacked financial and backstage support in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," he established extensive interpersonal relationships through the following methods:

Loyalty impresses people: Liu Bei is known for his loyalty. He became brothers with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei in the Peach Garden Oath of Three Bonds, vowing to live and die together and never betray them. Even after becoming emperor, he never forgot his loyalty and personally went on a campaign to avenge his brothers. Liu Bei, when Cao Cao went south to Chibi, disregarded his own safety and persisted in rescuing refugees, winning the hearts of the people

Emotional retention: Liu Bei is known for his generosity and kindness, which contrasts sharply with Cao Cao's toughness and cunning. He was able to establish deep relationships with various figures, such as brotherhood with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, as well as friendship with Zhuge Liang as a ruler and subject. This emotional investment enables him to unite people's hearts and strive together

Career investment: Liu Bei has continuously invested in his career, from joining Cao Cao to forming an alliance with Sun Quan, and then establishing his own regime. Every step shows his persistence and dedication to his career. His integrity and determination make people willing to follow him and strive together

Through these methods, Liu Bei not only established a wide network of interpersonal relationships in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", but also laid a solid foundation for his career success.

The alignment of beliefs between Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang was one of the important reasons for their cooperation. As a descendant of the Han dynasty, Liu Bei has the responsibility to uphold the sacred weapons of the country and achieve the great cause of reviving the Han dynasty. Zhuge Liang, on the other hand, carried the passion of serving the country and yearned to serve the world and support the orthodox. Both of them harbored national and family grudges, knowing that the current chaotic times require ambitious individuals to step forward and eliminate the usurpers, in order to save the ruined Han. Therefore, after seeing Liu Bei's loyalty to the Great Han, Zhuge Liang decided to become his assistant and work together towards the rejuvenation of the country. In addition, for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei was also the best match for him to achieve his ambition of serving the country. As an upright and kind person, Zhuge Liang yearned to follow a lord with a heart of benevolence and righteousness. What he needed was a leader who truly cared for the people of the world and had loyalty in his heart. Through the process of visiting the thatched cottage three times, Zhuge Liang gained a deeper understanding of Liu Bei's character. He saw Liu Bei's extremely simple and honest nature, as well as his deep affection and righteousness for the world. This strengthened Zhuge Liang's determination to choose Liu Bei as his lord.
